The Aging in Place in Rural and Remote (APR3) research study was a multi-case study done with the goal of voicing older adults’ experiences with and priorities for restructuring.

MAP
The goal of the Mobilizing Aging in Place (MAP) project was to reach policymakers in municipal and regional governments and health authorities with the voices of service users and providers via digital stories, which encapsulate findings from two studies on aging in place.

Dr. Wendy Hulko PhD, Thompson Rivers University
Dr. Wendy Hulko is a Professor in the Social Work program at Thompson Rivers University. She is interested in interdisciplinary research on aging, dementia, and healthcare. She focuses on equity-denied groups (e.g., Secwepemc Elders, racialized people, rural residents, older women, and 2SLGBTIQ people) and often works in collaboration with service providers and decision-makers.
